Gairloch Mountain Falls - 30 minutes from B & B
The trail is marked with orange, blue and pink flagging tape all the way to the fall. It traverses a mostly maple and beech mature forest that is covered by ferns on the ground. The trail goes down slowly for the first part but then becomes very steep at the end. Ropes for the climb down are in place but be extra careful using them. Once you reach the bottom of the valley, the waterfall is only a few steps upstream. The Kidston Island Lighthouse is a lighthouse on Kidston Island, located in the Bras d'Or Lakes, in Baddeck, Nova Scotia. The original lighthouse on Kidston Island was built in 1875. The present lighthouse was built in 1912 and the two stood side by side for some time. The lighthouse can only be accessed by boat; a ferry operates during the summer months from the Baddeck waterfront.

Uisge Bàn Falls Provincial Park - 20 minutes from B & B
Uisge Bàn Falls Provincial Park is a 1.5-hour round trip hike to a spectacular waterfall on Cape Breton Island, 14.5 km (9 mi) north of Baddeck (Highway 105, Exit 9). A 1.5-km (1-mi) trail leads to this spectacular 15-m (50-ft) waterfall in a granite gorge. A 2-km (1.5-mi) trail follows the North Branch River with beautiful hardwood stands along the cliffs. Parking, picnic tables (some with shelters) and vault toilets are on site.
